The 103 km long road is said to be one of several projects that are part of a regional trans-West Africa road project that was designed to link the sub region from Mauritania to Lagos in Nigeria, said Mr Kamara.
The Sierra Leone-Liberia half costs 69 million euros, he said.
Amadu Gaye, the representative of CSE in Freetown, expressed delight at being involved with the project and promised to fast track implementation.
Normally we have two years to do the bridges and one year for the rest of the road, and Insha Allah [God willing] we will complete it in time, he told reporters over the week end.
